What does a person wear for their cremation?

For a conventional cremation, a deceased person can wear almost anything their family chooses. Some people wear formal clothes, some wear a work or sports uniform, while others wear very casual clothes. Some will also have socks and shoes on. Others will have bare feet. It's up to you!
Sometimes the family aren't in a position to provide clothing, or simply have no preference. In those cases, we can provide a complementary 'shroud' to place over their deceased loved one. It is made of a plain, white fabric, and it covers them much like a very long t-shirt would.
Please bear in mind whether you also plan to have a 'viewing' or 'open coffin'. If family members plan on saying a final farewell like that, you will need to give extra thought to the kind of clothing your loved one will wear.
If you are planning your funeral, or that of someone you love, deciding what clothing you'd like (if any) is just one of many decisions to consider. If you have any further questions about this, please call us anytime on 07 3544 6880. We'd be glad to help!
