Saying farewell to pre-term infants, babies and children

It's sad that any website needs a section about funerals for babies and young children. It is the kind of loss that goes beyond words. Evermore Funerals feels strongly about assisting families facing this most painful of losses. We can assist with funeral arrangements for young children, infants and babies, including stillborn babies and babies born under 20 weeks gestation. While deeply moving and difficult, holding a funeral (or memorial) service is a beautiful way of saying farewell to your precious little one. It gives families space to express grief and love as they honour their child's life in a way that is unique and meaningful.

In Queensland, it is necessary to register the death of a child if they were born at 20 weeks gestation or over. If your child is under 20 weeks of gestation, you may still wish to arrange a service for them.

Regardless of the age of your child, we can assist you to organise a funeral service followed by cremation or burial. Other options include having your little one cremated and holding a memorial service at a later time. Once you have decided this, you will need to consider whether you will have a viewing/dressing of your baby at our private facility in Geebung (north side of Brisbane).

As part of our commitment to provide the best care to the people of Brisbane and beyond, we do not charge our usual professional fee when assisting with baby and infant funerals. All costs (such as venue fees, coffins, and burial/cremation fees) are charged at cost price, to which we add a nominal administration fee of $295. Nothing more to pay.
